We, at the Gordon and Cormell residences are so saddened by the loss of Big Creek Lodge this week! Last year my Dad won a flight with Arnold Aviation into the backcountry for breakfast at Big Creek. However, the lodge, the bunkhouse and several outbuildings burnt this week--BEFORE we were able to schedule our trip! We were all looking forward to having a meal together in the old lodge and are so disappointed to see the historic building has been completely destroyed! It is so sad to watch these backcountry buildings disappear one by one. A tragedy indeed!
