SPRING ROUNDUP, 2011.

I'm sure by now you have realized, I have the most amazing family who routinely indulges my deep-seated desire to be cowgirl. Spring immunization time is definitely one of those times of indulgence! They ask me to help with the round-up every year -- despite the facts that I both gag with a ferociousness you have to see to believe and often have to avert my eyes for the parts that bother me. Regardless, I am delighted to receive the invitation every year and willingly don my hat and boots for the day. I adore the fact that the day begins with a delicious, hearty breakfast! Sidling up to the kitchen table for a true farm-style breakfast in my now well-seasoned boots, makes me feel all the more like a true cowgirl. To be honest, I am fed regularly out at the ranch. They definitely spoil me and I am delighted to help out whenever, with whatever. Spring round-up is an opportunity for me to show them how much I appreciate all they do for me! The fact that I get to playing cowgirl . . . just makes the day that much better!

FOR SOME REASON THEY KEPT ME OUT OF THE CHUTES THIS YEAR.
I'M GUESSING IT HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE MULTIPLE GAGGING BOUTS LAST YEAR, THOUGH NO ONE WOULD ADMIT IT!

RANGER AND JOEY.

This is SUCH a fun story! I'm so excited to finally tell it!

Little cousin Jessie and her daddy went to the animal sale on the Saturday before Easter. Out came two baby goats with big Easter-colored bows around their necks. Cousin Jessie was immediately smitten and quickly bought both of them! I have never really been around goats. In fact, I'm not sure had ever even met one outside of a petting zoo before. Turns out -- I ADORE GOATS!!! I'm simply crazy about the goofy things! Particularly these two pygmy goats. Without further ado, please meet . . .
