SPRING ROUNDUP, 2011.

I'm sure by now you have realized, I have the most amazing family who routinely indulges my deep-seated desire to be cowgirl. Spring immunization time is definitely one of those times of indulgence! They ask me to help with the round-up every year -- despite the facts that I both gag with a ferociousness you have to see to believe and often have to avert my eyes for the parts that bother me. Regardless, I am delighted to receive the invitation every year and willingly don my hat and boots for the day. I adore the fact that the day begins with a delicious, hearty breakfast! Sidling up to the kitchen table for a true farm-style breakfast in my now well-seasoned boots, makes me feel all the more like a true cowgirl. To be honest, I am fed regularly out at the ranch. They definitely spoil me and I am delighted to help out whenever, with whatever. Spring round-up is an opportunity for me to show them how much I appreciate all they do for me! The fact that I get to playing cowgirl . . . just makes the day that much better!

FOR SOME REASON THEY KEPT ME OUT OF THE CHUTES THIS YEAR.
I'M GUESSING IT HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE MULTIPLE GAGGING BOUTS LAST YEAR, THOUGH NO ONE WOULD ADMIT IT!

IMMUNAZATIONS

TAIL-TRIMMINGS

MORE VACCINES AND . . .

CASTRATIONS!

POOR DUDE!

BUT, OF COURSE, IT CAN'T ALL BE ABOUT SERIOUS BUSINESS . . .
BACK IN SADDLE JESSIE! GET BACK IN THE SADDLE!

WASN'T QUITE AN EIGHT SECOND RIDE, LADY, BUT NICE DISMOUNT!

I MAY NOT BE ABLE TO GET ANYWHERE NEAR THE POOPY END OF A CALF, BUT I'VE FOUND MY CALLING.
THEY CALL ME THE CALF WHISPERER! :)
BY THE WAY, THIS IS MY IRENEY.

AND BLACK BOY!

THEY CAN LOOK . . .

BUT I CAN'T!
I'M NOT AT ALL FOND OF THE DE-HORNING PROCESS!!!
