I thought pretty seriously about NOT having a birthday this year but who could blame me? Twenty-nine is a tough one to swallow! :) However, my family arranged THE greatest day for me and at the end of it all, I decided birthdays weren't so bad after all! Laura and Danny rented a ski boat, Mom planned an amazing spaghetti dinner picnic and we all spent the afternoon at Lake Cascade. Surrounded by both my loving family and the spectacular mountains I grew up in made for a simply fantastic afternoon and easily one of the best birthdays I have ever celebrated! I LOVE being out on the water and a so BOATING BIRTHDAY was a perfect fit! I felt young, alive and vibrant! Content beyond my wildest imagination! Happy down to the very tip of my toes!

YES that's me getting a lift out to the boat in the tube so that I didn't have to get wet. They called me the princess because I "didn't want to get wet" but . . .
I really just didn't want to get wet with LAKE CASCADE water!
I know all about the gross, disgusting critters that are in that water and it's too icky for me!
I'M NOT GETTING IN IT!
