This weekend was the weekend of "grand tours!" After helping to escort Mom and Dad's Mansion home, I was off to spend a night with Laura and Danny. They are finally moved into their new house and it turned out absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Unfortunately I hadn't been to their house since early January, when the sheetrock had just gone up! They worked SO HARD to get it from that point to this gorgeous finished product! I wish I had been able to help during those crazy two weeks when SO MUCH got done but I guess I'll have to be happy with helping them to break it in! Hey, I've even staked my claim: The Aunt Tess Room! I still can't believe the transformation from the original house/cabin! I never would have guessed they could get so much house on that original foundation! And, after living in the single wide for so long, I can tell that they are all breathing a collective sigh of relief to be able to SPREAD OUT! They all have their own rooms now but, with so many girls in the house, I'm not sure TWO bathrooms is ENOUGH! (Makayla is already taking so long in the bathroom I almost peed myself waiting to get in)! Girls! :) But what an amazing accomplishment and truly a beautiful home! I'm so proud of and excited for them! Rest assured, I'll be checking into the Palace again soon!
These were taken last summer after the demolition of most of the existing cabin and near the end of the framing stage of the new house.

this isn't the old house but it was almost as small and definitely had the same rustic cabin look to it!
AND NOW . . .
simply stunning!
Last summer I had a blast with my sister and new(ish) brother-in-law in the place where they have been staying . . .
one of our famous game nights with danny's twin brother, matt

BUT I have to admit, I am so excited they have moved into the PALACE!
Especially since the last place was a bit wild (in the not fun way)!
this adventure transpired on their deck a WEEK after I had been watching the kids there, ALONE! Although there is certainly no guarantee the Palace won't be wild too, I'm certain it will only be the good kind!
Party at the Palace anyone?
My dearest sister,
I want you to know how proud I am of you! You are such a strong and energetic woman and a simply amazing mommy! Your supply of love, patience, and enthusiasm seems never ending! After spending some time immersed in your life this weekend, I still can't believe how you manage to handle as much as you do, let alone, how you do it with so much grace! There is no doubt in my mind that I simply cannot do what you do! You really are Wonder Woman! You have brought an amazing man into our family and you have made me the aunt of THE greatest nieces and nephew! I have always been honored to call you my sister, but this family you have created is spectacular beyond words! I love all of them so much and am eternally grateful to you for giving them to me! On top of all of this, you still manage to be an absolutely beautiful woman and one of my best friends! With all my heart I believe you deserve the love and happiness you have found! Congratulations on your beautiful new home! I am proud of everything that you have accomplished but more than that, for everything that you are!
I love you Lo!
Welcome Home!

Wow Sis! Talk about an amazing letter! Your loving heart and generous compliments brought me to tears. What a wonderful sister and friend I have in you. I have so many things I'd like to say to you in return but the screen tends to get a little blurry when I try today. Next time I'll come prepared with a box of tissues when I read your blogs! (The shoulders of Danny's shirts get a little boogery otherwise!)
I love you sis!
Love, Lo
